Alejandro "Alex" Calderon

Alejandro Calderon, a beloved friend and family member, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at the age of 52 in Long Beach, California. Born on December 12, 1972, in Hollywood, Alejandro brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him throughout his life.

Alex was a brother to two siblings an older sister and a younger brother he was an Uncle and Great Uncle. He had a great love for music, Aikido, football and magic. He loved traveling and spending time with friends. He wasn’t afraid to live life to the fullest and could just as well enjoy a quiet night at home most recently. Alex was a man of many passions, adventures and stories.

With a friendly personality that filled every room, Alejandro was a true light in the lives of those around him. His love for martial arts was evident in both his spirited training sessions and his passion for the discipline. He embraced the values of respect and perseverance learned through martial arts, often sharing these lessons with friends and family.

In addition to his dedication to martial arts, Alejandro remained a loyal fan of the San Francisco 49ers, celebrating their victories with enthusiastic joy. His zest for life was infectious, and his laughter could brighten the darkest of days. Alejandro’s interests went beyond sports; he had a remarkable gift for connecting with people, always lending his ear or offering words of encouragement.

A visitation will be held on April 14, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at East Olympic Funeral Home, located at 4556 E Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90022. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Artesia Cemetery commencing at 1:00 PM, located at 11142 Artesia Blvd, Cerritos, CA 90703.

Alejandro leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength, reminding us to cherish every moment and to live life fully. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his spirit continues to resonate within the hearts of those he touched.
