Apolinar Vega, a cherished Cook and beloved family man, left this world on July 15, 2025, at the age of 80. He was born on June 20, 1945, in the sun-kissed hills of Guanajuato, Mexico, where the aroma of traditional dishes lingered in the air and the sounds of laughter danced through the streets. It was here that his passion for cooking blossomed.

Throughout his life, Apolinar embraced his calling as a cook with the same fervor he brought to nurturing his family. As we gather to pay our respects, friends and family will come together for visitation at East Olympic Funeral Home in Los Angeles, located at 4556 E Olympic Blvd, CA 90022, on August 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This will be followed by a mass held at the same venue, beginning at 2:00 PM and concluding at 3:00 PM.

Though Apolinar has departed from this earthly realm, his legacy will continue to inspire and nourish those whose lives he touched. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family, who will carry forward his spirit in every meal shared and every story told.
