Bonnie Louise Owen

June 22, 1951 — April 16, 2025

Loma Linda

Bonnie Louise Owen passed away on April 16, 2025 at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana, due to complications from serous uterine carcinoma, stage IV, diagnosed in 2019.

Bonnie was born on June 22, 1951 in Los Angeles, California, and was immediately adopted as the first of two daughters to her parents, Harold and Yvonne Owen, both of whom preceded Bonnie in death. She is survived by her sister Deborah, a niece, Jennifer and two nephews, Alec and Hunter, and her close friend Michael Sander and all his family and friends.

During childhood, she lived in Whittier, and Santa Paula, California. She grew up in San Bernardino and graduated from Pacific High School. After high school, Bonnie worked in retail and then became a dental assistant. Her true passion, however, was artistic and leaned more toward interior design, but set her studies aside for application to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Her long career in county government began, as she worked in booking and dispatch at San Bernardino County Superior Court, Big Bear Sheriff’s Station, San Bernardino County Jail, and finally transferred to San Bernardino County Fire Department (Special Districts) at Com Center in Rialto, California, as a 911 Emergency Dispatcher. She retired from San Bernardino County with 42+ years of service. Her beautiful sense of design, however, carried through in her professional way of expressing beauty in all aspects of her life. Bonnie resided in Loma Linda California, since 2021, Apple Valley, Highland and Colton, previous. Bonnie will be missed dearly.
