Eduardo Castaneda

Eduardo Castaneda, 71, passed away on June 4th, 2022 in Long Beach, CA. Born in Juayua, El Salvador to Rosa Castaneda and Lazaro Fuentes. Eduardo leaves behind his wife Gladys Castaneda, three children, and three grand children.



Eduardo emigrated to the United States in 1981 and settled in Los Angeles in search of a better life for his family. He secured a job for a plastic manufacturer where he worked for 28 years and retired.



As a young man in rural El Salvador Eduardo enjoyed playing soccer where he had some success which gave him the opportunity to travel around his native country. He also enjoyed the outdoors. He would hunt with a slingshot small game animals such as pheasant, fowl, and rabbits.

In retirement Eduardo spent his time reading mostly fiction and biographies. He still was a huge soccer fan, but unable to play he never missed watching games from his two favorite leagues, La Liga and Liga MX. He enjoyed making us laugh with stories of his childhood. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing, laughing, and eating sweets.
