With a heavy heart, we announce that our beloved Mother, Grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many slipped away Tuesday morning, April 9^th, 2024 at the age of 84. She was born on October 9^th, 1939 in Guatemala and lived in Los Angeles, California.

She is survived by her children Hugo Mazariegos, Arnold Mazariegos, Erwin G. Mazariegos, Thelma Cruz, Zoila Mazariegos, and Juan Zaldivar. Twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.

Emma was a beautiful soul who worked all her life for her family. She was always cooking and baking for her family. She loved spending time with her family and dancing. She was a strong woman of faith who loved her family and was well-loved.

Memories grow and memories fade, but memories of Grandma will never go away.
