Frisco - Franklin

Frisco Franklin was 75 years young and passed away April 29 th , 2021 in Loma Linda, California.
Frisco Franklin was born in Akron, Ohio to LeRoy Franklin & Erie Franklin on January 17, 1946.
He attended Akron public schools and played basketball, soccer, and ran track. He was ranked
2nd in the state of Ohio in track for the 100 and 200 meters. He also enjoyed photography.
Shortly after high school Frisco joined the Army and served his country fearlessly. He was a
veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart and
other numerous awards.
He married his lovely wife Lilly Franklin on June 21st, 1975 in Los Angeles, California. They were
married for more than 43 years. He worked at Patton State Hospital and the Naval Air Weapon
Station Base in Ridgecrest, California.
He loved fishing and hunting with his brothers. Also, he enjoyed traveling and visiting other
countries with his family and travel group.
Frisco is preceded in death by Lilly Franklin, LeRoy Franklin, Erie Franklin, Dorothy Reed, Emily
Franklin, and LeRoy Franklin Jr.
Frisco is survived by Children - Larry Lars Jr. of Arlington, Texas, Karen Scott- Lars of Apple
Valley, California. Siblings -Roy Franklin of Chicago, Illinois, Frankie Franklin & JoAnne Franklin
of Pace, Florida. Grandchildren - Ricky Stein, DeVon Stein, Chanel Stein, Trameil Williams,
Darriel Stein, Naliese Williams, Essence Stiger, MaCabe Scott, DaShane’ Lars, and David Lars.
With a host of great-Grandchildren, family and friends who loved and will miss him dearly.
