Gary Franklin Tapley

Gary Franklin Tapley of Upland, California died January 16th at San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland, California following a brief illness.
Gary was born in Bakersfield, California on March 9, 1955. He was the 2nd son of Clyde Aubrey Tapley and Anna Mae Williams. As a child, the family moved frequently to follow the seasonal harvest in California and Oregon, but always kept the Williams home in Bakersfild as their home base. After a brief time living in Oklahoma, they finally settled back in Ontario when he was a teenager. Gary from Ontario High School in 1973. He then started working at Southwest Concrete Products in Ontario before starting a life-long career in construction as a backhoe/heavy equipment operator in the Inland Empire and San Diego County.
Following a stroke almost 8 years ago, he spent several years living in Colton prior to transferring to Villa Mesa Healthcare Center in Upland. to be closer to his family. He leaves behind his mother; brother, Michael; sisters, Patricia and Debora; sister-in-law, Nelly; several nieces; a nephew, and several grand neice's and nephew's.
He was predeceased by his father; brother, David; sister, Lora; brother-in-law, Patrick and nephew, Joshua.
Arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Peterson Mortuary. Private services will be held at a later date at Bellevue Memorial Park.
