Johan Kelly Lopez Estrada

December 28, 1978 — March 14, 2024

It’s with great sorrow and sadness, that we the Lopez family announce the passing of our beloved Johan Lopez, he lived a beautiful 45 years on this Earth before he passed away peacefully from natural causes. He was born on December 28, 1978 in Guatemala City, Guatemala but he didn’t see it as his home, East LA and his family were his home, he spent his whole life here, from when he caused trouble as a kid to when he would take his kids somewhere.
Johan and his family moved to East Los Angeles when he was less than a year old,he would grow up as your average East LA kid, going to school, clashing with the culture of his homeland and the American culture. Johan would grow up to graduate from Garfield High School and later briefly attend East Los Angeles College. While job hunting, he would be employed at a furniture store where he would meet his future wife and best friend, Veronica Otero
In 2001, Johan would marry Veronica and have his first child, Alan. A couple of years after Alan was born Johan would become a homeowner, and in 2008 Johan and Veronica would leave their jobs to become Herbalife Distributors, being self employed from that point on. In 2012, Johan would welcome his second son, Noah.
After years of health complications, in 2022 Johan would officially retire to spend time with his wife and kids. However, in early 2023 Veronica would suffer a stroke which leaves her in need of physical therapy, Johan dropped everything to become his wife’s nurse and supporter through physical therapy, this became a blessing in disguise as they both retired and spent this last year in peace and happy.
He is survived through his wife Veronica and sons Alan and Noah.

Es con gran pena y tristeza que nosotros, la familia López, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido Johan López, vivió unos hermosos 45 años en esta Tierra antes de fallecer pacíficamente por causas naturales. Nació el 28 de diciembre de 1978 en la ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala pero no la veía como su hogar, el Este de Los Ángeles y su familia eran su hogar, pasó toda su vida aquí, desde que causó problemas cuando era niño hasta cuando llevaría a sus hijos a alguna parte.

Johan y su familia se mudaron al Este de Los Ángeles cuando él tenía menos de un año. Él crecería como el niño promedio del Este de Los Ángeles, yendo a la escuela, chocando con la cultura de su tierra natal y la cultura estadounidense. Johan crecería hasta graduarse de Garfield High School y luego asistiría brevemente a East Los Angeles College. Mientras buscaba trabajo, trabajaría en una mueblería donde conocería a su futura esposa y mejor amiga, Verónica Otero.

En 2001, Johan se casaría con Verónica y tendría su primer hijo, Alan. Un par de años después de que Alan naciera, Johan se convertiría en propietario de una casa, y en 2008 Johan y Verónica dejarían sus trabajos para convertirse en Distribuidores de Herbalife, trabajando por cuenta propia a partir de ese momento. En 2012, Johan le daría la bienvenida a su segundo hijo, Noah.

Después de años de complicaciones de salud, en 2022 Johan se retiraría oficialmente para pasar tiempo con su esposa e hijos. Sin embargo, a principios de 2023 Verónica sufriría un derrame cerebral que la dejaría en necesidad de fisioterapia, Johan dejó todo para convertirse en enfermero y apoyo de su esposa a través de la fisioterapia, esto se convirtió en una bendición disfrazada ya que ambos se jubilaron y pasaron este último año en paz. y feliz. Le sobreviven su esposa Veronica y sus hijos Alan y Noah.
