In Loving Memory of Blanca Fuentes February 3, 1953 – May 16, 2025
Blanca Fuentes, 72, of McAllen, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Born on February 3, 1953, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, Blanca made McAllen her lifelong home, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Teresa Martinez and Manuel Martinez, and was preceded in death by her brother Luis Martin Martinez and sister Martha Catalina Rodriguez.
Blanca was the devoted wife of the late Enrique Fuentes Jr., and together they created a beautiful legacy through their children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving children:
Vanessa Duran and son-in-law Miguel Angel Duran, and their children:
Celyn Diyan Duran
Miguel Angel Duran Jr.
Austin Riley Duran
And Blanca’s first and only great-granddaughter, Ciara Denae
Christopher Fuentes and his wife Heather Brennan, and their son:
Christopher Bentley Fuentes
Isaac Henry Fuentes and his wife Megan Fuentes, and their children:
Autumn Rose Fuentes
Maddox Henry Fuentes
Blanca is also survived by two sisters, a brother, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Blanca spent most of her life working in the banking and finance industry, where she was known for her professionalism, determination, and integrity. A lifetime employer in finance, she left a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike.
More than anything, Blanca was a woman of heart. She was a loving, compassionate, and amazing mother and grandmother who gave her love unconditionally. Known as the peacemaker of the family, she carried the biggest heart and always found joy in helping others. If something needed to be done, Blanca made sure it was—with fierce determination and grace.
Her joy was contagious, her smile ever-present, even in the face of adversity. She loved music, dancing, and had a special place in her heart for Selena Quintanilla. Family meant everything to Blanca, and she gave her all to ensure the happiness and well-being of those she loved.
Her memory will live on in the lives of all she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
