Philip Chavez Bedrejo

Philip Chavez Bedrejo, 59, of Torrance, CA, passed away on July 17, 2022 at Burlington Convalescent Hospital in Los Angeles.

 

Philip was born on May 11, 1963 in Sagay, Philippines. After high school graduation from Holy Infant Academy, he went on to study maritime science at Visayan Maritime Academy in Bacolod City.  After earning his college degree, he spent five years working in the maritime industry. In the early 1990’s he settled in Los Angeles where he worked in the hotel industry and the LA airport. Philip was an avid Lakers fan and enjoyed sharing basketball stories over the phone with his cousins around the world. Philip’s bright smile, jovial energy, and generous heart will be sorely missed.

 

Philip is survived by his second wife Allen and their daughter Audrey, first wife Ruth and their son Jared, as well as his half-siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

 

Funeral services will be on August 12, 2022 at Deco Familia Rosecrans Funeral Home in Paramount, CA. Visitation will start at 5:00 pm, Holy Rosary at 7:30 pm, and Funeral Mass at 8:00 pm.
