Sylvia Blanco

Sylvia Blanco, 75, went on to be with the lord on January 20, 2022. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and community member. Her absence will leave a tremendous dent in the world that she leaves behind. We have solace in knowing she is with her family members that left before her and with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Sylvia was a giver to any and all who asked. She frequently donated items to people in need and never asked for anything in return. She left behind her husband of 51 years Eluterio Blanco, sons Eluterio (Jennifer) Blanco Jr., Elias (Socorro) Blanco and grandchildren Benjamin Blanco, Bruce Blanco, and Maverick Blanco.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Concepcion S Dougherty, her brothers  Jesse Dougherty Jr and Eduardo (Eddie) Dougherty. She is survived by her brothers Fred (Anna) Dougherty, Rogelio (Angelica) Dougherty and Henry Dougherty and her sisters Yolanda (Juan) Garcia, Becky Diaz and Hope Dougherty.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 24^th, 2022 from 4pm-8pm at Deco Funeral Home, 1501 North International Blvd Unit 200, Hidalgo, TX 78557. Funeral services will be on Tuesday January 25^th, 2022 at 9am at Deco Funeral Home; interment will follow at 11am at the Hidalgo Cemetery 101 S Third Street Hidalgo, TX 78557.
